Bulgaria's parliament decided to give a green light for contracting the European Investment Bank to co-finance a project for transit roads repairs.

The total length of the road segments included in the project is 1535 kilometers of main Bulgarian roads and transport corridors.

The EIB offered to grant EUR 380 M for the project;  the rest of the funds - up to EUR 325 M will come from the state budget.

The cabinet also plans to borrow EUR 90 M from the World Bank to repair another 450 kilometers of important country roads that are in bad condition now.
